Puppies Used to Smuggle Heroin

Authorities revealed yesterday that ten puppies had been discovered on a farm in Columbia a year ago with which smugglers planned to transport heroin. A pound of heroin was stitched into the skin of each of six canines, with the remaining four yet to have received operations. The information was unveiled yesterday as authorities "unsealed indictments in Brooklyn federal court charging 10 people with conspiring to import heroin bound for New York."

What a sorry commentary on lame, Neanderthal, federal drug policy, as if another such commentary was needed! These poor pups are merely the latest victims of, second of all, the smugglers but, first of all, the Feds who could put all dealers and smugglers out of business with the stroke of a legislative pen decriminalizing drug use.
